HM Continues to Give Back to the Community
HM General Contractors Blog
One of our primary objectives as a company is to give back to our community. We want our communities to grow and thrive, and we feel it is our duty to help those communities do that.
Our team has always been involved in some type of community oriented charity project. Here recently, our business has supported a couple of organizations and their projects.
On May 16, HM General Contractors was one of two sponsors for the Academy of General Dentistry’s Brunch and Learn. The event was hosted at Buffalo Bayou Brewing Company near downtown Houston. This was a great event at an incredible venue.
The focus of this event was to emphasize the importance of prescribing opioids. The main speaker was Dr. Arthur Jeske, who is the Professor and Associate Dean for Strategic Planning and Continuing Dental Education at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. It was a very enlightening and engaging presentation.
A very special aspect of the event was that Dr. Lindsey Wendt, DDS, is the Houston Academy of General Dentistry Director. She is co-owner of Dentistry of the Oaks, which HM designed and built.
In regards to dentistry, our company has been building dental and medical facilities for decades, so this event was very dear to us.
Our team has also designed and built numerous veterinary facilities, which was the focus of our other event, which took place on June 8. HM was a team and a hole sponsor for the 31st Annual Par Fore Pets Charity Golf Tournament benefiting the Houston Humane Society.
The Houston Humane Society works to save approximately 50,000 animals each year through its various life-saving programs and we were all too happy to help them in their efforts.
We are grateful that we have the opportunity to help worthy causes and give back to our community.
